MEG COWELL | PHOTO ARTIST

Meg Cowell graduated with honours in photography from the University of Tasmania in 2007 and has since gone on to exhibit nationally and abroad. In 2013 Cowell was selected for the Flinders Lane Gallery emerging artists showcase and has since exhibited with them in several solo and group exhibitions. In 2013 Cowell joined Dickerson Gallery in Sydney with an exhibition from her ongoing series. Works were purchased from the exhibition and now reside within the University of Western Sydney private Collection. Her workhas also been shortlisted for prestigious prizes such as the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Award in Queensland, Manning Art Prize in New South Wales and the Sunshine Coast Art Prize in Queensland. Meg also completed a mentorship in 2012 with acclaimed artist Deborah Paauwe with whom Cowell was paired through the mentorship program during her post-graduate work at the University of South Australia. In 2014 Meg sold out of editions at her fair debut at the 2014 Melbourne Art Fair with Flinders Lane Gallery. In 2018 Meg will exhibit in solo exhibitions with Flinders Lane Gallery in Melbourne and Penny Contemporary in Hobart.
